BBC SPORT | Athletics | Baby girl for athlete Radcliffe: "Athlete Paula Radcliffe has given birth to a baby girl in Monaco.

The 33-year-old was admitted to the Princess Grace Hospital on Tuesday afternoon and gave birth on Wednesday at 0943 GMT.

Husband and coach Gary Lough, who was with her during the birth, said: 'She was a long, long time in labour.'

Radcliffe, who currently holds the women's marathon world record, is doing well but the couple have not yet decided what to call the baby.

The three-time London Marathon winner is targeting a return to action in time for this year's World Athletics Championships in Japan in August, where she will contest the 10,000m or the marathon."
