JOHN PART ended Phil Taylor's eight-year domination of the Ladbrokes.Com World Championship after a dramatic 7-6 win over 'The Power' in an epic contest. The Canadian had to survive a brilliant fightback from Taylor at 4-1 down before finally coming out on top in a memorable encounter. It was a case of third time lucky for Part having lost in the World Matchplay and World Grand Prix to Taylor in 2002 and scupper his ambitions to become World Champion for the eleventh time.
